How long does it take to learn Quran

 

 

 Learning the Quran is very essential for all Muslims. Through the Quran, we strengthen our relationship with ALLAH and make our hearts pure. Learning of the Quran depends on the age or group of every person. Generally, it takes around one and half years for children between ten to thirteen years of age.

 

 Hadith. 

“Read the Quran for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the day of resurrection” [Muslim] 

 

First, we discussed the course of the Quran: 

When we want to learn the Quran first we should learn the ‘Noorani Qaida’. In this, we learn the alphabets of Arabic and its mekharj, etc. It may take some time. When we complete the Qaida we will be able to learn the Quran. 

 

There are some ways to learn the Quran that will help you to learn the Quran in a short period of time.

 

  • Grip-On language:-

        The Quran is in Arabic if you want to learn the Quran you should make a strong grip on this language. Must learn the Quran in tajweed. If you can recite the Quran with tajweed you will learn in short as compared to those who can’t recite the Quran with Tajweed. 

 

  • Know about basic Rules:-

       You should know about the basic rules of Arabic to learn the Quran. Rules are very important because when we have knowledge about the rules of the Quran we easily learn the Quran in a short period of time. Rules protect us from making any mistakes.

 

  • Read or Recite daily:-

When you read or recite the Quran daily or in routine, you will easily memorize the Quran. It depends on you how much time you give the Quran in your daily life.

 

  • By Age or Group:- 

The learning process of the Quran is also dependent on the age factor or group of people. You can see many children at the age of ten to thirteen memorizing the Quran, in a short time mostly taking one year or one and half years. But as compared to at the age of twenty plus or thirty plus they can take more time to memorize the Quran due to memory issues. 

 

  • Repeat or Revise the Quran:-

        When you are memorizing the Quran, you should repeat the verses daily. You see, when you revise the Quran, in your daily routine you will learn the Quran in a short time. 

 

  • Experience and Qualified teacher:-

     If you learn the Quran by yourself it may take a long time but if you learn the Quran From experience and a Qualified teacher or instructor then you will learn the Quran in a short time.

 

  • Choose a suitable time.

 You should choose a suitable time for your recitation but the best time to learn the Quran is early in the morning. This time your mind is free from any stress and you are fresh so you can easily memorize the Quran.

 

  • Memorize the Quran in a comfortable place:- 

 When you are sitting in a comfortable place your mind is free from everything while reciting the Quran. If you learn the Quran at home you can listen to the Quran online. Always remember that when you are sitting comfortably you can learn easily but if you are not sitting in a comfortable or quiet place then you will not be able to understand the words or viruses of the Quran clearly.

 

 Hadith.

“Uqba b. Amir reported that Prophet (SAW) said

“ if the Quran were put in a skin and thrown into the fire it would not burn”
